As if the internet really needs another adult tube site... but here I am anyway!

I’ve been following a few journey threads here that inspired me to give this another shot. A few years ago, I actually tried getting into the adult website niche. I even bought a WP-Script license and planned to build a site around it.

Unfortunately, I lost interest pretty quickly and never got past the early stages.

Now it’s 2026, and with AI making automation and development much easier, I decided to try again.

I have a software engineering background and several years of experience, so my main goal this time is to automate as much of the workflow as possible. So far, the technical side of the project has actually been pretty fun.

What I’ve done so far:​

• Picked a specific niche to focus on
• Built an automation pipeline for sourcing videos and generating SEO metadata
• Registered a domain through Njalla
• Set up a dedicated server with Alexhost for the website and video hosting
• Added Bunny.net as the CDN
• Built the website myself by studying WP-Script for inspiration
• Manually approved around 250 videos for the live site
• Set up monetization with ExoClick using popunders, banners, and in-stream VAST

I deployed the site today and have also set up Google Search Console and Analytics.

Now the waiting game begins.

I’m curious to see how quickly the site gets indexed, whether the niche can attract organic traffic, and eventually whether I can turn it into a small source of revenue.

For now, I’m choosing quality over quantity. Even though most of the process is automated, every video still needs to be manually reviewed and approved before going live.

I’m learning as I go, so I’ll share what works, what doesn’t, and hopefully some real numbers along the way.

I think your software background gives you a nice advantage here. If you can automate the repetitive work while keeping quality under control, it could save a huge amount of time.

The manual approval part is actually a good idea. It might slow down publishing, but having some quality control could make a big difference in the long run.

I tried a similar project years ago and the hardest part was keeping myself motivated. Your automation approach should make the day-to-day work much easier.

I like the quality-over-quantity approach. Anyone can throw hundreds of pages online, but keeping the content organized and useful is much harder.

This is actually a pretty interesting journey because you’re approaching it more like a software project than a traditional content site. The automation pipeline, hosting setup, CDN, metadata generation, and manual approval process should give you a lot of useful data to work with.
